For one of the leading providers of technology for software applications we are looking for a Translator Software Products (French or German)
This is a very challenging position at one of the leading providers of technology for software applications. Projectmanagement and localization/ translation are keywords in this position. You will take ownership over localization/translating projects for the German or French language and localize/translate software products into German or French. You are responsible for managing the localization/translating process for products and documentation. You oversee and manage vendor efforts and maintain various tracking systems. You guard the localization budget and are responsible for training vendor localization teams on process and managing localization process initiatives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Work with management on forecasting and scheduling of localization projects
- Maintain localization schedules and deadlines
- Be central point of contact for worldwide Localization Engineers
- Prepare SOWs with outsourced translation companies in cooperation with other departments
- Guard each project's progress and take action when needed
- Translate source code and on-line documentation
- Maintain Localization Requirements documents for the German language and assist in improving translation tools and methods
- Manage the testing of localized products in cooperation with QA and Services
- Report on progress of projects to Services Director and Project teams
