A Council Bluffs woman was taken to an emergency room after she became glued to a toilet seat. It happened Wednesday at a public restroom at the Mall of the Bluffs.
Investigators said they believe someone put some sort of cement compound on the toilet seat. Paramedics wheeled out a 53-year-old woman who got stuck.

De Toledo is niet bepaald moeders mooiste, vooral de achterzijde kan niet iedereen niemand bekoren. Op het Gummen forum kwamen we spyshots tegen van een Toledo XL(?) die een ander kontje heeft. Onbekend is of deze Toledo XL ook meer zitplaatsen zal gaan bieden, maar in ieder geval is ie er niet lelijker op geworden.

The Spaniards over at Seat (presumably with their Donckerwolke in tow) have released a tribute to their World Touring Car Championship version of the Léon with the rather Japanese-sounding surname of "Cupra." Looking something like an "If They Mated" rendition of the BMW Z4 and a VW Golf, the Cupra wrings 240hp out of a turbocharged VW FSI motor and features race-inspired suspension, undoubtedly like anything found in a Ford Torino Talladega. It also, apparently, features "sporty acoustics."

We, like Colbert Report host Stephen Colbert, have a fear bordering on terror when it comes to bears. The thought of what happened to the owners of a vintage red 1964 Buick convertible this holiday weekend over in Lake Tahoe gives us the chills. A hungry bear cub decided a little pick-a-nick basket was the way to go, and sat down in the back seat for a lovely little luncheon of barbeque-chicken-and-jalapeno pizza -- and then washed it all down with a swig of Jack Daniels, Absolut vodka and tonic and a beer the bear snagged from the cooler. Let's be clear here folks -- we don't care how much you don't want to finish that pizza -- stop feeding the bears! It only encourages them. And as we can see, they're now willing to do just about anything to get what they really want -- our liquor.

In navolging van Ford komt ook Seat met een goedkoop instapmodel in het B-segment. Uiteraard moet u in die auto wel afstand doen van een aantal comfortverhogende verworvenheden. De nieuwe instapversie heet 1.2 Club. De auto heeft de beschikking over de 1,2-liter benzinemotor, goed voor 60 pk. Het gemiddeld verbruik bedraagt 5,5 liter per 100 kilometer en de CO2-uitstoot is 128 gram per kilometer. De auto heeft een B-label.Ten opzichte van het huidige basisuitrustingsniveau –Reference- moet u afstand doen van de radio/CD/MP3-speler, de centrale hoofdsteun achterin en de hoogteverstelling van de passagiersstoel. Bovendien heeft de Club vier luidsprekers in plaats van zes en 14-inch stalen wielen in plaats van exemplaren met een diameter van 15 inch. Tenslotte is de passagiersairbag niet uitschakelbaar. Het goede nieuws is de prijs van de auto: het label vermeldt 9.995 euro en dus duikt deze Ibiza onder de magische 10.000 euro-grens. Wie juist meer luxe wil op z’n Reference, kan ook kiezen voor het actiemodel ‘Beat’. Deze biedt ten opzichte van de Reference als meeruitrusting stability control, airconditioning en ‘Caloria’ lichtmetaal met een diameter van 15 inch. De Beat is te combineren met een 1,2-liter benzinemotor met 70 pk en een exemplaar met een cilinderinhoud van 1,4 liter en een vermogen van 85 pk. De 1.2 Beat is er voor 14.390 euro en de 1.4 Beat kost 15.190 euro.
