Filed under: Ideas, Tips and Tricks, SamplesHoss Gifford has figured out a way to dynamically resize a Flash movie embedded in an HTML page. The practical application of this is now you can have your movie resize based on how much content there is to display. Being able to scroll with the browsers scroll bar instead of creating a separate flash scrollbar is the chief benefit to this technique. To accomplish this Gifford uses the swfObject by Geoff Stearns. Hoss has kindly made available the source code for this project under a creative commons license in hopes that someone can improve it. Flash Drive onderzoek : Uit Europees onderzoek van Imation naar het gebruik van Flash Drives, blijkt dat de populairste opslagcapaciteit van Flash Drives op dit moment 256 megabyte (MB) is. Maar hier komt verandering in. De consument heeft behoefte aan meer opslagruimte. Een verdubbeling van 256MB is daarbij niet genoeg, consumenten zullen in de toekomst voor de 1 gigabyte Flash Drive kiezen. Daarmee gaan ze voor maar liefst vier keer zoveel geheugen. Flash Drives worden veelvuldig gebruikt: Maar liefst 65 procent van de respondenten stopt de USB stick dagelijks in de computer. Sinds kort geeft m'n powerbook (0,5 GHz PPC, 512MB, OS X 10.4.6, alle updates) bij sommige typen flash filmpjes geen geluid meer weer, terwijl dat vroeger ('weken'? geleden) wel gebeurde. Ik heb in die tijd ongetwijfeld software geinstalleerd, maar welk precies, *dat* kan ik niet meer terugvinden...
't Gebeurt in zowel Firefox, Safari als Camino.

Op de internets worden vele tips gegeven, in twee categorieen: "start gargeband / realplayer / een ander geluidsapp. op, maak daar wat geluid in, en sluit 't app weer af. Geluid zou het nu weer moeten doen. (bronbron)
