Nintendo ha hecho pública una nota de prensa referida a las ventas de Nintendo DS en Europa. Según el anuncio oficial, ya son cinco millones las DS vendidas en nuestro continente, aunque no hacen referencia a si son ventas reales o consolas distribuidas a los establecimientos. En cualquier caso, cabe destacar que Nintendo DS vendió 200.000 unidades a los diez días de ponerse en venta, lo cual es un dato que refleja muy bien el éxito que está cosechando la portátil.En el mismo comunicado oficial también hacen referencia a las ventas de juegos para DS. De screenshots laten een mix zien van traditionele platform gameplay en een first person mode.
