Job Description
You are going to work as an international Account Executive at the European Business Unit Components of this strong growing international organization. It will be your responsibility as an Account Executive to participate in the project team for product development of optical transceivers and do research on the European markets. First focus is to generate new business for the Components Unit. Your most important market is the telecom market in Germany, France and Italy. You have extensive knowledge about electro optical conversion. You provide customers with relevant product information and characteristics, application solutions and other important information. You will start at Delta with a short training during which you will get a lot of product information, and you will meet your colleagues in Asia, with who you will work together intensively. Besides this you will have a lot of contacts with the factories in China. So Chinese (Mandarin) speaking will be an advantage (is not a must). You have an education in electro-technical, optical or natural sciences (physics). Besides this we prefer a few years sales experience within a technical environment. Further you are a very good communicator and you are very motivated to work in a technical sales function and environment. It is important that you take a lot of initiatives, and that you are a very pro active person who is able to be a team player as well. You have leadership abilities in leading project teams and you take responsibility for your own tasks. Experience with optical components is not necessary, but knowledge of lasers and a technical background is very important. You have the willingness to travel. The Sales Director Components Europe will be your manager.
