This update gives the Windows Mobile Device Center full capability of syncing your Windows Mobile Phone or Device with Outlook. It even supports OneNote 2007 Mobile as well. It offers an impressive UI arrangement giving you full access to syncing your device and accessing its files. It even tells you how many images you have on your Mobile Device when you move your mouse over "Photos, Music and Video". UK verbiedt haar klanten van de 3G Web 'n Walk-service gebruik te maken van VoIP-
en IM-applicaties.
T-Mobile UK verbiedt, zo blijkt uit de voorwaarden op haar website, eveneens
het streamen en downloaden van audio en video en het gebruik van P2P-programmatuur
via haar 3G-netwerk. Volgens de Britse T-Mobile-dochter kosten deze applicaties teveel
bandbreedte en staan in contrast met de fair use policy en de datalimiet die het bedrijf
bij haar dienst Web 'n Walk hanteert. Klanten toch niet kunnen nalaten om gebruik
te maken van VoIP en IM krijgen eerst een waarschuwing en zal mogelijk klanten zelfs
afsluiten.

Google-telefoon bij T-Mobile
AMSTERDAM - Internetbedrijf Google gaat vanaf januari zelf een mobiele telefoon van HTC verkopen. Het toestel werkt op het netwerk van T-Mobile, en is voorlopig alleen in de VS verkrijgbaar. Dat berichten diverse media woensdag. © engadget Google organiseert op 5 januari een persconferentie over Android, het mobiele besturingssysteem dat het bedrijf zelf ontwikkelde, waar de 'Nexus One' naar verwachting zal worden gepresenteerd.Er zijn wereldwijd al zo'n 14 Android-toestellen beschikbaar, maar de lancering van de Nexus gaat gepaard met een nieuwe versie van het 'open source'-platform. De Nexus moet het bescheiden marktaandeel van Android (momenteel ongeveer 4 procent van alle smartphones in de VS) en het gebruik van Google-diensten opkrikken.
Prijs
Volgens een uitgelekt verkoopdocument verschilt de prijs van het toestel weinig van andere smartphones; de telefoon zou 530 dollar kosten, voor een toestel met tweejarig abonnement moeten kopers straks 180 dollar neertellen.Kopers kunnen maximaal vijf toestellen per persoon bemachtigen, zo blijkt uit de - vermeende (pdf) - verkoopvoorwaarden. Eerder doken video's op van mensen die de telefoon al hebben bemachtigd.Of de Nexus op de Nederlandse markt komt, is ook onderwerp van speculatie.
Strategie
De strategie van Google lijkt op die van computermaker Apple, die ook een eigen smartphone, de iPhone, aanbiedt bij een exclusieve telecomprovider. Google hoopt daarnaast dat Android, en de daaraan gekoppelde Android Market, net zo'n succes wordt als Apples iPhone OS en App Store.Ook RIM, maker van de Blackberry, heeft een populair ecosysteem van toestellen en besturingssysteem - al worden Blackberry-gebruikers niet beperkt tot maar een telecomprovider.
