Alles over USB Egg from Evergreen Consolidates Three Functions in One | rss feed | toevoegen | e-mail nieuwsalarm | Gizmodo | 2006-07-21 16:25:52
Here's yet another USB device to clutter up your desktop, but this one from Evergreen attempts to consolidate numerous functions into its whimsical egg-shaped design. It's a pair of speakers, a card reader and a USB 2.0 hub, giving you not-exactly-rocking tunes with 2 watts per channel, a card reader that can handle SD, CompactFlash and Media Stick, and then a USB hub with two ports.
Doesn't a product need to have more than two USB ports to be called a "hub?" Perhaps it should be called a "twofer." Anyway, the USB Egg is available in Japan, and there's no word whether we'll see it stateside. Looks like fun if you're obsessed with eggs or perhaps concerned about fertility. – Charlie White

Alles over Microwave, iPod Dock: A Match Made in Heaven\ | rss feed | toevoegen | e-mail nieuwsalarm | Gizmodo | 2006-07-18 20:53:24
Those folks at Target really know what the people want. They are offering up a combination Emerson .7 cubic foot microwave and a bonus iPod Table Radio. Who wouldn't want something like this. Just think of all of the Duran Duran you could listen to while heating up your nightly microwave dinner, by yourself, of course.
The microwave combo retails for $59.99, which isn't too terribly bad, but the online store is currently out of stock. It is noted that this product is also available in-store so there is still a chance to pick up the combo there. – Travis Hudson

Alles over Cooking an egg on a MacBook | rss feed | toevoegen | e-mail nieuwsalarm | Software Headlines :: Index | 2006-07-17 12:14:19
Filed under: LaptopsAlright, so maybe you didnt want such a warm welcome when using your MacBook, but the list of unadvertised capabilities of these heat-emitting notebooks is growing. Most recently a pioneering fellow decided he liked his eggs over hard hard drive, that is. While his MacBook was operating within the manufacturers specifications (read: likely folding for Engadget or some other such process-intensive task), the underbelly of this beast got toasty enough to literally fry an egg. While probably not the most efficient way to fix breakfast, its definitely among the most entertaining weve seen, and certainly helps substantiate the, ahem, smoking reviews this machine got.Read | Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | CommentsSource: http://www.gigabeat.co.uk/blog/07/17/2006/apple/cooking-an-egg-on-a-macbook http://www.softwareheadlines.com/modules/planet/view.article.php/15765
