The next issue of Game Informer features another magazine exclusive reveal--Ghostbusters! The game, seemingly a sequel to the first two films, was rumored to have been in the works at developer ZootFly after a video of a Ghostbusters title was leaked onto the internet. The game now appears to be officially coming to... some unnamed platform(s). The even better news is that original Ghostbusters stars Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd will be involved. In the grand scheme of things, the outcome of the console wars between Sony's PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii and Microsoft's two-year old Xbox 360 shouldn't matter too much to the individual gamer. But, in a way, the outcome of the most competitive three-way race for console dominance in history affects you personally. The system that ends up with the most users generally wins the most attention and support from game makers, while the others get stuck with half-assed ports and throw-away games. Or, to tow the psychobabble party line, everyone feels good picking a winner, and owning the best-selling system can be comforting to uncertain consumers. Bleach whitens, so it's a good title for a manga about ethereal ninjas who cleanse evil spirits. It's also toxic, making it an apt name for a game you should avoid at all costs, which, in this case, is Bleach: Shattered Blade. Based on the anime adaptation of the aforementioned manga, Shattered Blade is a dim-witted 3D fighting game that squanders its source with idiot controls, chintzy production values, long loading times, and a lame plot. I thank Bandai Namco on this decision. When Family Ski was first shown off, everyone thought it would be a perfect match for the Wii Fit board. Up until now we had no idea that game would support it. Now this new promo bit shows that the board is supported. It is unclear whether the game fully supports the board, or only uses it for specific portions of the game. Does anyone know if there is a similar shortage of Wii games? As far as we are aware there are currently no problems in purchasing Wii software titles. Some retailers may experience very minor shortages of in-demand titles, but overall there is a healthy supply of software in the market. Q: We ordered a Wii from Next for home delivery in early September and were quoted three weeks delivery time. We are still waiting. A long time coming, people can finally put their Miis on display for the world. Either posting Miis in the plaza or creating Miis for lookalike contests is a surefire way to get people to continually use their Wii more every day. The first contest is creating a Mario without his cap Mii.It looks like the channel takes up 91 blocks of space.One neat feature is that everytime you post a Mii you recieve a twelve digit code that you can pass on to friends enabling you to share your masterpieces.
