Het laatste wat we van Nintendo hebben gehoord omtrent de launch van de Wii, is dat we 'm in het najaar kunnen verwachten. Voor de rest bleef het stil, met uitzondering van de vele geruchten en speculaties. Eens in de zoveel tijd duikt er weer eens een persoon of groepering op, die denkt de definitieve launchdata te weten, zo ook nu. De Franstalige website Inpact Virtuel claimt namelijk contact te hebben gehad met een anonieme bron binnen Nintendo. Deze persoon bracht naar buiten dat de Wii op 30 oktober in Japan zal verschijnen en tien dagen later in Amerika en Europa. Hoewel het een gerucht blijft, klinkt het wel aannemelijk. De PS3 komt namelijk op 17 november uit, en een lichte voorsprong qua verschijning is mooi meegenomen. http://games.fok.nl/news.php?newsid=12021

Our stump-brained cousins over at Kotaku finally pulled one over on us. They had a very small piece about Nintendo thinking about maybe possibly not naming their new console after pee-pee. According to an apocryphal marketing guy named Mike, they've gotten over "200,000 e-mails with complaints about the Wii" and that they may or may not change it as a result, provide that the email is even true.
I say run with it, Nintendo. Let the Wii flow through the streets and into the hands and open mouths of countless young men and women. In fact, I believe there are entire websites dedicated to that very concept. – John Biggs

Jack Lancer writes "Gameworld Network (which is either a network of gameworlds or a gameworld of networks) has posted an epic collection of streaming E3 videos which clearly depicts each and every playable Wii game and how exactly one has to swing, wave, shake, point, wiggle and/or jostle the Wiimote in order to play." And once again this poses the question- is this the future of gaming UI? Sure seems like a great idea for fps.
